Questions

What size is an Instagram portrait post?

1080 × 1350, a 4:5 portrait. It takes up more of the feed than any other shape Instagram allows in a feed post.

What size works for X and LinkedIn?

A 1.91:1 landscape — 1080 × 566 here — is the shape of a link preview on both. A 1080 × 1080 square is the safe choice for any feed.

What size is a story or a reel?

1080 × 1920, 9:16 — the full phone screen. Keep text away from the top and bottom, where the app draws its own interface.

Is my image uploaded?

No. It is cut in your browser with a canvas and saved straight to your computer; it never leaves the page.

Can Ravenpost do this for me?

Yes. Upload an image once and the media library cuts it to these same four canvases, cropping on the subject rather than the middle.

Then post it everywhere

Ravenpost checks every post against these same rules before it goes out, and publishes it to 9 networks with a caption written for each. One connected account and ten posts a month, free. No card.
