Instagram post scheduler for feed posts, carousels, reels and stories

Schedule Instagram posts, carousels, reels and stories from one calendar, and cross-post the same content to every other account you run. Ravenpost publishes through Instagram’s official Content Publishing API — no phone reminders, no browser automation.

See it the way Instagram will

The composer previews every destination as that platform renders it — media cropped the way it will crop, the caption truncated where it will truncate. What you see here is the composer’s own preview component, not a mock-up of one.

One post. Nine platforms. Write it once, give any platform its own caption, and preview every destination before it goes out. Free forever on one account — link in bio.

Scheduling Instagram, specifically

All four formats, not just the feed

Instagram is the most format-rich platform we support: image, carousel, reel and story all publish automatically. The composer warns you when an aspect ratio is wrong for the format you picked, before Instagram silently crops it.

Licensed music on reels

Attach a track from Instagram’s own audio catalogue to a reel — the only native music path any API exposes. Meta returns only tracks licensed for third-party use, and every track starts at 0:00, so cut the video to match.

Insights next to the post

Reach, impressions, likes, comments and saves are collected per post and shown on the post’s own page, so you can see which caption earned them rather than reading a separate dashboard.

What Instagram allows

Straight from the app’s platform registry — the same limits the composer enforces.

Worth knowing first

Instagram’s API exposes no delete endpoint, so a post published through any tool — ours included — can only be removed by hand in the app. Personal accounts aren’t supported either: Instagram’s publishing API requires a Business or Creator account.

Media guidance

Photo, carousel, or reel. Portrait 4:5 (1080 × 1350) fills the most feed space.

And everywhere else, from the same post

Instagram is one of 9 platforms Ravenpost publishes to. Write once, give any platform its own caption, and preview each one before it goes out.

Instagram scheduling questions

Can I schedule Instagram reels and stories automatically?

Yes. Reels and stories both publish automatically through Instagram’s official API — you don’t get a notification to finish the post by hand. Stories expire after 24 hours, so the permalink we store for them is short-lived.

Do I need an Instagram Business or Creator account?

Yes. Instagram’s publishing API doesn’t support personal accounts — that’s Instagram’s rule, not ours. Switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app.

Can I add music to a scheduled reel?

Yes, if you connected Instagram through the Facebook Page flow. The audio catalogue is unreachable with a direct Instagram Login token, so the composer only offers the music picker on Facebook-connected accounts.

How long can an Instagram caption be?

Instagram allows 2,200 characters. If you select X alongside Instagram, the composer limits you to X’s 280 — unless you give Instagram its own caption, which you can do on any post.
