Its agent gets the same tools Claude does. And a post meant to go out now is not the agent's to release: Ravenpost saves it and holds it until a person confirms it. ## Add it to mcp.json 1. ### Connect your social accounts Sign in to Ravenpost and connect the accounts you want to post to. Free plan, no card. 2. ### Add the server Open Cursor Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server, or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json by hand, and paste this. Approve it, and the server lists its tools. 4. ### Ask the agent In the agent chat, say what to post and where. It lists your accounts, previews the post and schedules it once you say yes. ## What to ask Cursor Written the way somebody would actually type them, with what each one ends up doing. - “What social accounts do I have connected on Ravenpost, and what can each one take?” Reads your accounts and each network’s limits — caption budget, media counts, threads. A good first message: it proves the sign-in worked. - “Write an X post and a LinkedIn post about the change on this branch, and preview both before creating anything.” Writes from the code it has open, then renders each destination with the preview tool, which writes nothing — so what you approve is the post itself. - “Schedule both for Monday at 10am my time.” Two posts, one per network since each has its own caption. A schedule more than 15 minutes ahead goes straight onto the calendar, where you can still move or cancel it. - “Which of last month’s posts failed, and why?” Reads back each destination’s own error text, so a rejected PNG or an expired token is a thing you can fix rather than a red dot. ## What it still cannot do The things you would otherwise find out on day two. - Posting now waits for a person. A post meant to go out now, or within 15 minutes, is saved and held until somebody confirms it — on the post card’s Publish button where Cursor draws one, or on the post’s page in Ravenpost. - It is a scheduler, not an inbox: no comments, mentions or DMs, and no image generation — it schedules and reformats what you give it. - The sign-in needs a browser once. Open Cursor Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server (or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json), add a server named ravenpost with the URL https://api.ravenpo.st/mcp, then reload it and sign in when the browser window opens. Do I need an API key? No. Cursor runs the OAuth sign-in itself. A personal access token exists for a Cursor that cannot open a browser: mint it on the MCP page of the Ravenpost dashboard and send it as an Authorization header. Does it work in Cursor’s CLI too? Cursor’s CLI, cursor-agent, reads the same mcp.json files, and \`cursor-agent mcp login ravenpost\` runs the sign-in there. Will it publish without asking me? Not a post meant to go out now: Ravenpost holds it until a person confirms it. A schedule further ahead does go out by itself at its time, so read what the agent proposes before you approve the call.
