## Worth knowing first

Threads allows 500 characters — second tightest after X — so a mixed X and Threads post is still governed by X’s 280. Threads insights need an extra permission we haven’t requested, so there are no Threads analytics yet, and its API exposes no delete endpoint.

Text, up to 20 images/videos as a carousel, or a single image or video. Media is optional.

## Threads scheduling questions

Is this the official Threads API?

Yes — Meta’s Threads API, with the threads\_basic and threads\_content\_publish permissions. It is a separate integration from Instagram, with its own app and its own login.

Can I schedule a Threads chain?

Yes, up to 25 follow-up posts publish in order after the head post.

Do I need an Instagram account to use Threads?

You need a Threads account, which Threads itself ties to Instagram. Connecting Threads in Ravenpost is its own separate login.
